Position Summary :EVgo is looking for a dynamic and pricing-focused Data Science Manager to join our dedicated Pricing team, reporting directly to the head of Strategic Pricing. As the Data Science Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced pricing software in a rapidly growing industry. As a prominent player in the CPO industry, we are committed to continuous innovation, and the pricing team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our products are priced fairly for our valued customers and members. Responsibilities :
Own the design, implementation and roadmap of our new pricing software
Execute on EVgo's pricing strategy and contribute towards financial targets and OKRs
Analyze customer/member trends to identify opportunities for system optimization via pricing adjustments supported by price elasticity analysis
Conduct competitive pricing analysis to ensure that EVgo's product offerings are competitive in order to drive utilization and capture market share
Identify and implement A/B tests. Report on key learnings and recommend next steps
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to align on key objectives and projects
Monitor and evaluate pricing performance at the customer segment and market level
Stay up-to-date with industry trends/research, market dynamics, and regulatory changes
Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics or other related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the transportation or energy sector. Experience from spatial analysis is preferred but not a must
Experience from pricing system design and/or implementation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and convert complex and diverse data into actionable insights
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python and MS office
Practical experience from structuring, executing and evaluating A/B tests and familiarity with general statistical frameworks. Examples of testing include conversion, price elasticity and distance extrapolation
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate pricing recommendations to stakeholders at various levels
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $130,000.00 USD to $140,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
