RAPP is an integral part of Omnicom's Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, and data and marketing scientists across 40 global markets.
YOUR ROLE: The New Business Manager is responsible for helping the agency's new business team coordinate, organize and manage all agency new business opportunities. The manager acts as the point-person for the new business team, assisting with coordination of all phases of the development/production of new business proposals and presentations, gathering and analysis of competitive and marketplace data, and providing logistical and support for new business related activities, as needed.
Previous experience working for an ad agency is a requirement. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of working with a team to achieve a multi-million dollar sales quota through highly consultative, complex sales and proposal processes with enterprise class accounts and executive level contacts and decision makers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting with writing/editing and distribution of RFI/RFP responses Support in the review of incoming opportunities to assess needs. Support in the editing and proofreading of outgoing assets. Coordinate all phases of the development and production of new business proposals and presentations including but not limited to: timelines, filling RFIs (tailoring to client/category), finding relevant case studies, gathering content from team members, desk / background research, creating presentations, etc. Pipeline management: Manage day-to-day status updates, team budgets, reporting to leadership, quarterly / yearly summary reporting, etc. Including opening job numbers, managing purchase orders, assisting with proposal SOWs, win/loss reporting, Salesforce entry, etc. Liaise with all RAPP portfolio leads and SMEs, OPMG agencies, and DAS leads create strong relationships within Omnicom network Organize / manage RFI and RFP presentation database, files, archive(s) and new business materials Management of the new business / talent creds database Updating talent bios, headshots and job descriptions for the purposes of new business Updating consultant sites Oversee new business status meetings and issue weekly new business status reports to DAS Help manage the new business potential prospect process with research, competitive analysis, which includes but not limited to: Leading the Consultant Newsletter with the Communications team Evaluating new market research and adjusting new business strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Develop an understanding of all agency functions and procedures and educating external partners and potential clients + Develop an understanding of agency competitors within the marketplace (and our point(s) of differentiation) Mentor and support the New Business Coordinator demonstrated by: Being able to help tackle assignments and working collaborate with
one another. Answering questions and providing guidance with assigned projects. Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense. Handle other duties as assigned by Supervisor. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or related field Key account (Fortune 500) acquisition experience Extensive knowledge and experience in consultative and service based selling Proven sales track record with six and seven figure sales transactions and long (multi-month) sales cycles Proven track record with brand sales—past success and established relationships Rolodex of existing relationships and contacts with top-tier brands and advertisers considered an asset KEY COMPETENCIES: Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to develop strong client relationships with senior and executive level management Strong interpersonal, communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable on the phone, and giving a presentation Strong interpersonal, communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable on the phone, and giving a presentation Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and logically both verbally and in written form Strong attention to detail and organization demonstrated through actions such as notes and follow-ups during review, understanding deadline requirements, etc. Strong attention to detail and organization demonstrated through actions such as notes and follow-ups during review, understanding deadline requirements, etc. Effectively managing timelines and deliverables of multiple projects to meet deadlines Effectively proofing work to ensure accuracy Quick learner, fast and conceptual thinker and strong information/fact retention Ability and confidence to work under high pressure Thrives on working within a dynamic and highly collaborative team environment Able to use all related hardware and software; (Mac and PC) computer literate Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote Ideally proficient in Adobe creative suite A great presence and ability to put together and present solutions that sell Analytical skill/ability to draw conclusions from results analysis Create and/or review sales reports and forecasts, and ongoing status reports Shepherd client relationships from outreach and through the stages of the sales process. Deep understanding of brand and ad agency community, including active contacts Willingness to handle any detail, no matter how small, to deliver the agency's product to prospective clients Proactive approach, demonstrated through actions such as: Identifying opportunities and solutions to be helpful without being prompted A strong sense of curiosity/ interest in learning and willing to take on new challenges Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements A team player who is proactive, able to work autonomously, and self-directed A team player who is proactive, able to work autonomously, and self-directed EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred. Our hybrid work model: RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Los Angeles and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
