The Management and Strategy Implementation Consultant supports strategy implementation, process improvement, and program management on complex, visible programs in homeland security. Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of experience in management consulting and ideally with experience on government projects. This role provides the opportunity for growth in a consulting firm - both by supporting clients and supporting internal strategic initiatives to help grow the company.
Responsibilities Supports management consulting projects for the Federal government in strategic planning and implementation, process improvement, and organizational realignment to enhance mission resultsTracks and reports on status of strategic initiativesCollaborates with a team and also leads workstreams in priority initiativesApply human-centered design approaches such as customer experience and other innovation techniques to enhance service and build trustLoves to learn complex mission areas in homeland security and emergency managementApply and enhance excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clientsJoin our consulting practice to support projects and company growth initiatives, managing multiple workstreams at one timeDevelop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiativesContribute to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in management consulting projects, ideally with experience on large government initiativesExperience in implementing strategy, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with senior clientsAbility to learn and apply innovative methods; embraces a growth mindset at all timesExperience in process improvement, meeting and stakeholder engagement support, and/or program analysis to support strategic changeAbility to support policy and process analysis and develop documents and communicationsDirect experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environmentProven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyOutstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potentialExcellent attention to detail in creating compelling presentations and decision documents to help clients make critical decisions about the future of their organizationInterest in taking a leadership role on workstreamsTechnologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePointDesire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projectsClearance: U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship) / ability to obtain security clearanceEducation: Bachelor's degree requiredCritical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, loves to learn, excited to engage and build relationshipsApplying to the Company: Please tell us about your interests and background; we would be grateful!
