Company Name: Hiawathaacademies Job Description The HCHS Girls Volleyball program is looking for a Head Coach to lead the Varsity level girls' team. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including the elderly, refugees, those with visible and invisible disabilities, LGBTQIA+ community, and veterans.
The HCHS Wolves Athletic Program provides opportunities for students to participate in competitive sports, regardless of previous experience. We offer exceptional facilities, qualified leadership, and support systems to help student-athletes achieve their personal and team goals. Hiawatha Collegiate High School is a member of the Minnesota State High School League and the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference.
The Head Coach will have the following responsibilities:
Train team members in various Volleyball skills. Promote sportsmanship and foster unity within the team. Create and implement weekly practice schedules as part of strategic planning. Coordinate and manage communication with various stakeholders. Provide guidance and support during games. Track player eligibility in partnership with the Athletic Director. Develop ways to celebrate athletes' accomplishments throughout the season. The HCHS Girls Volleyball Head Coach must demonstrate knowledge of and support Hiawatha Academies' mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior. Additional duties as assigned will also be required.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree Knowledge of the game at a competitive high school level, with the ability to build relationships with student-athletes. Dedication to sportsmanship and achievement in school and on the field. Preferred Qualifications : Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish and/or Somali preferred). Why Hiawatha?
