The Maintenance Technician works with both internal and external resources to resolve equipment failures to ensure that down time is limited and equipment is performing as intended. This role will also collaborate with various functional areas to identify and improve equipment and/or processes.*This is a 2nd shift position: 3:00pm - 11:00pm*Responsibilities:Conduct preventative maintenance on all machines and equipmentsTroubleshoot and finds permanent solutions to reocurring equipment issuesMaintains and performs lock out / tag outConducts monthly inspection of eye wash center, fire extinguisher, and housekeeping auditsWill be required to place orders for machine parts and toolsMaintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment, grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and HVACElectrical systems, including lighting, circuits, and equipmentWater supply, drains, pipes and appliancesPneumatic air supply, including air compressorMaterial handling equipment, such as lift trucks and rackingOffice furniture and office partition systemsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum Requirements:High School or equivalentPreferred Requirements:Minimum 2 years work experienceKey Skills and Competencies:HVAC systems experienceAbility to perform pipefitting work on water, gas and pneumatic systemsAbility to locate and install new plant equipment, including all electrical, pipe fitting, rigging, and millwright workAbility to use power tools and hand tools to perform mechanical installationsAbility to wear required safety equipmentAbility to troubleshoot equipment using diagrams and blueprints and repair electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical systemsAbility to work independently on projectsWork for a company that cares, offers a growth environment, and a culture of respect, inclusion and recognition – our front-line workers have an average 7-year tenure!Healthcare, Dental & Vision, Tuition Reimbursement401k with Company MatchAnnual Cash Incentive Opportunity20 Days Starting PTO2 Floating Holidays and Paid Volunteer Time OffAnnual Shoe Allowance and free Company ApparelCome join the herd!Zebra is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
