Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a high level of urgency in responding to all urgent calls. Complete all trouble response calls through documentation of work orders and downtime log. Ensure all startup and shutdown procedures for each department are completed in a proper and timely manner in accordance with company safety procedures/OSHA requirements. Communicate with Engineering Team Leaders, Production Managers, Production Associates, and fellow Engineers. Communicate with the Engineering Parts Coordinator to insure adequate parts inventories. Create a sense of urgency in the training and development of all new engineers. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment. Maintenance Technician Skills and Requirements: 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required. Good mechanical aptitude Tig and stick welding skills a plus. Computer experience/operation and an understanding of PLC operation are necessary. Must be able to handle multiple projects/repairs simultaneously. Knowledge of machining and assembly practices, tools, and fixtures High school diploma or its equivalent required. A two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is a plus. Ability to work in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Ability to lift in-excess of 50lbs.
