Summary We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician. Duties for this role include: Executes assigned activities with supervision. Assembles, operates, repairs and maintains production equipment as well as general facility systems to ensure that operational standards are met. Also performs general facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists with pilot plant testing as specified Sets up, operates and disassembles equipment Maintains, performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all facility systems as needed Maintains work area and facility in a clean and orderly condition Documents works as required in a timely manner Assists senior maintenance staff as needed Minimum Education and Experience REQUIRED: High School graduate with 3-4 years related work experience. Oral and written organization and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic technical and mechanical skills. Basic plumbing and electrical (AC/DC) knowledge.
PREFERRED: HVAC and/or Electromechanical Training/Degree
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Position is mostly mobile/active but may require occasional sedentary desk work May need to move equipment or supplies and willing and able to lift 50 pounds daily Will be required to work in 50°F wet environment often When in the pilot plant or plant environment: Exposure to wet floors which include epoxy and concrete floors and metal or plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of -10 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 0 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
