Role and Responsibilities Johnny's Markets is changing the way people think about convenience stores, and as a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in developing the customer experience at our chain of 60+ locations. With direction from our Facilities Manager, you'll ensure that stores are presented consistently, and to Johnny's brand standards. We are on the hunt for a talented and reliable maintenance technician to join our maintenance department. In this position, your chief responsibility is to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our business premises. Your duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, and developing preventative maintenance procedures.
Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures. Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Manage plumbing systems to guarantee functionality. Plan and schedule repairs. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry. Ensures that Management is made aware of all maintenance needs. Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies. Performs specific maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager Assists Management in seeing that the store maintains total interior and exterior cleanliness and appearance to Company image standards. Adheres to the Company's uniform and dress code policy. Follows work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with Management. Stays familiar the Company Operations Manual and bulletins. Follows Company established time keeping methods. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED preferred Minimum of one year's maintenance experience and or training Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, ability to use hand/electric cart, able to use power tools, able to use a ladder and lift up to 80 pounds, Ability to sit, talk and or hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to comprehend common sense understanding in carrying out instructions in both written and oral form. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, supervisors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to company information. Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned. Ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline and cleaning product fumes. Ability to enter and work in cooler at a temperature of twenty degrees for up to ten minutes at a time.
