Job Title: Maintenance Technician I Job Status: Part-time, up to 28 hours per week Job Summary: Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician I uses basic knowledge and skills obtained through on-the-job training to perform routine maintenance on ACCESS' buildings and grounds. Supporting and fulfilling the needs of ACCESS facilities and programs so that they can perform their work in the community through coordination of capital resources and first responder to address facility matters. Perform the day-to-day tasks to maintain the physical assets of the properties. Responsible for consistent excellence in the care of the facilities including building open, set-ups and tear downs, cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily opening of facilityUse documented building opening process to open in a consistent and timely manner in preparation for daily activities of guests and staffEnsure welcoming, open and safe experience for guests and staffProvide grounds clean-up/sidewalk cleaning as required due to weatherIdentify maintenance and repair items that need to be resolved to assure long-term excellent facility and grounds careProvide seamless transition to the other facilities team membersSet-ups/tear-downsEnsure scheduled areas are set/cleared for building use as assignedEnsure all scheduled event areas are in excellent, clean conditionPerform spot cleaning or remedial repair if neededPerform other facilities related tasks as assignedOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of:
Some electrical and lighting repair, plumbing, carpentry and locksmith functionsBuilding and ground maintenance functionsSkill in:
All general maintenance proceduresA cheerful and reliable personAttend to detail, solid judgmentSelf-starter works independentlyOperating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to:
Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesProvide a high level of customer serviceMaintain facilities in such a way that ensures the safety and comfort of staff and patronsAssist in general tasks to allow others to focus their efforts where most required Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organizationWork in a fast pace organization and enjoys serving othersOperate vacuum and snow blowerEducational/Previous Experience Requirements: Minimum Degree Required:High school diploma of GED equivalentAny equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/Certifications: Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire:Valid Michigan Driver LicenseWorking Conditions: Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required
Travel Required: Local and in-state travel, up to 10%
