Seeking Maintenance Technician familiar with lab automation or systems and electronic, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems, which support various laboratories.
Prefer experience reading machine schematics, computer interfacing for system set-up and troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance systems to complete work orders as necessary. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Location: Chesterfield MO
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am- 6pm
Wages: $20.00 - $24.45 per hour
Education: AA degree or studies in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
Temp to Perm potential.
This position is in Precision Genomics' Genotyping lab.
The candidate will be working collaboratively with a large production team to help support and maintain lab automation.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for organizing technical documentation and operational procedures, performing audits on equipment locations and parts inventory as required for business operations.
You will provide diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of laboratory automation.
You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify lab automation or systems and electronic, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems, which support various laboratories.
Key competencies include strong mechanical aptitude, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

2. High Throughput/production/inventory management: Our lab processes 2+ million samples per year with fast turn-around times. Prefer experience reading machine schematics, computer interfacing for system set-up and troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance systems to complete work orders as necessary. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
3. Automation/mechanical aptitude: The candidate must be comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently with little guidance on this shift. Engineers with electrical/technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply. • Typical day: Audit equipment locations, repair equipment within a lab and shop environment, parts inventory, assisting with work orders. A successful applicant must have excellent electrical, mechanical, and computer skills.

• Must Have's: Strong technical/mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, sense of urgency, excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, ability to make decisions independently. Candidates with experience in fast-paced settings (even non-lab related; i.e. restaurants/ retail/ shipping) are usually high performers on our team.
• Exposure to the organizational culture at one of the biggest companies in the world, and the opportunity to work in a lab that supports the majority of Company's Breeding and Biotech pipelines. This lab is one of the most highly automated genotyping labs in the company and is a good opportunity to establish a background with automation experience.

• The main focus is on production/maintenance work, with some opportunities for process optimizations
• Skills required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate skills in Office Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Spotfire, Outlook; Advanced/Proficient skills in Excel. Experience with a CMMS software not needed but preferred.
• Years of experience required: 1-2 years
• Requires an Associate's degree or relevant schooling in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.45 per hour
