Maintenance Specialist

Performs construction and maintenance work as needed to ensure all county buildings and grounds are kept in good operation and repair. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot problems and complete work orders for Tooele County Facilities.
Example of Duties Required to work variable shifts and rotating holidays. Will take call on a rotating basis.
Performs maintenance and repair on sprinkling systems, plumbing, electrical, heating/air conditioning, roads, and parking areas.
Performs repair and maintenance work on all equipment used to maintain Tooele County facilities.
Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment and various power tools.
Assures Tooele County Facilities are prepared for various events. Assists and oversees facility patrons and contractors. Ability to oversee contractors and employee safety and OSHA standards.
Minimum Qualifications High school graduate, plus two (2) years of specialized training or certification in any or a combination of: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or sprinkler systems repair, provided through professionally sponsored workshops, in-service, or trade school.
OR Up to (3) three years of experience in construction, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and repair.
