This will be a 2nd Shift Weeknight position with a 4/10 schedule. Shift differential will be applicable for this position. POSITION SUMMARY Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises Project Manager of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Education: Desired: Degree in Aviation or Business Administration. Experience: Generally 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility. Experience with Quantum preferred. Experience in similar activities ( planning or production planning) Knowledge: Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are moderately complex in nature. Aircraft production environment Project Management Skills: Proficiency with planning practices and tools Strong organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Utilization of Lean Production concepts Abilities: Data analysis and consolidation Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations. As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
