The Resource is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our client, the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a starting pay rate of $22.00 per hour. The Maintenance Mechanic will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical systems, apparatus and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment. Duties will also include fabricating during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Candidates for this role should have technical expertise to ensure equipment is functioning accordingly to produce within quality specs and with the designed performance. - Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics
- Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity
- Possess ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Have a working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout
- Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and concepts
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics
- Other mechanical duties as assigned
- Able to perform tasks independently
- Know and understand safety equipment and be aware of machine safety procedures Qualifications:
- Must have three plus years of industrial machinery maintenance experience to be considered
- Broad Technical training (high school plus 1 to 2 years of apprenticeship/applied trades training). Training requires a basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics
- Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment required. Multi-craft experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable
- Organizational experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) preferred
