Job Description:The role of Maintenance Manager position requires that he/she be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace. This individual will be reliable, well-versed in all maintenance processes, and safety regulations to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's assets and facilities. This individual will ensure that reports have the best resources available to complete their duties while adhering to budgetary objectives. Responsible for directing and participating in all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the production equipment, building systems and process infrastructure in an injection mold plant. This individual is also expected to provide training for technicians, operators and line leaders and to establish training programs for all equipment related.Key Duties & Responsibilities:• Manage, lead and develop the maintenance department to meet the company philosophy in plantsafety, quality, productivity and performance goals for facility.• Manage all aspects of the facility internally and externally related to maintenance andimprovements.• Strong supervisory/people/communication skills.• Project Management skills-experience overseeing capital equipment projects and can makeneeded decisions related to projects without delay.• Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatical/Electrical troubleshooting skills used to develop current andfuture employees.• Capable of making decisions that brings the greatest value to the plant operations.• Experience with Lean Manufacturing /TPM/Autonomous Maintenance.• Experience with working and developing CMMS programs.• Continuous improvement initiatives and a Strong safety background.• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.• Ability to work both autonomously and within a group.• Implementation of maintenance strategies and tactical solutions to daily production issuesthrough KPI tracking, communication, planning, execution, PM and Predictive systemdevelopment and capital planning.• Oversee facility maintenance while ensuring compliance with government (local, state andfederal) and company regulations.• Ensure timely and accurate repair of production and facility equipment.• Create and maintain the spare parts program.• Provides technical assistance and drive process and department improvements through use ofproblem-solving tools and machine performance history.• Provide leadership and training tools for the maintenance team to improve competencies in themaintenance department.• Assist with the development of training programs for the maintenance technicians throughevaluation of job performance and changing needs of the facility.• Develop the maintenance department by overseeing hiring, conducting performance reviews,provide coaching and training the staff members.• Accountable for helping to achieve capital projects on time and within budget. Support thebusiness case development, procurement negotiations and maintenance technician activities.• Purchase and fabricate tools and special machines that meet planned due dates. Make costeffective and timely repairs to existing equipment.• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff.• Monitor expenses and control the budget for repairs and maintenance.• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.• Other assigned dutiesEducation / Certification:• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required• Experience in a manufacturing environmentWork Experience:• Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role minimum of 5 years.• Must have experience with injection molding machines and robots; repair and maintenancerequired.• Able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints on both electrical and hydraulic prints.• Ability to repair and maintain all plant equipment including facility and diagnose problems.• Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirementsassociated with safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.• Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements, and management of amanufacturing facilityCompany is an equal opportunity employer.
