The refinery has the potential to operate at an annual production capacity of about 900 million pounds of copper cathode, which is sufficient to refine all the copper anode we produce at our Miami operations in Arizona. There are many shopping centers, parks, hiking trails and numerous restaurants for our employees and their families to enjoy.What You Will DoSafely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.Assist Journeyman Mechanics with maintenance activities on transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or maintenance activitiesAssists with and performs preventative maintenance activities on heavy equipmentCompletes Work Orders and other maintenance documentationTroubleshoot equipment problemsPerforms housekeeping duties and work area checksMay operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipmentPerforms other duties as requiredWhat You Bring To FreeportAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
