Maintenance Assistant

Job summary
Maintenance/Housekeeping Assistant and DriverFull-time positionSome evening and weekend hours as needed
Responsibilities
• Conduct building maintenance, repairs, and some cleaning tasks• Pursue professional growth and development• Transport individuals served safely and professionally• Conduct maintenance and repairs on vehicles owned by HMC• Record necessary information to maintain up-to-date property and vehicle records• Complete repairs and maintenance as assigned• Respond immediately to any observed safety or health hazards• Work in a cooperative, professional manner with contractors, plumbers, electricians, repair persons, vendors, etc.• Requires regular travel to various sites to oversee and/or complete tasks• Maintain HIPPA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, both external and internal to HMC
Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have high school diploma or general education degree• Must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills• Must have a basic knowledge of technology programs (Microsoft Office products)• Must work well with colleagues and have the ability to work independently• Must pass a MN Department of Human Services Background Study• Must have the ability to regularly kneel, crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb and balance• Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift or move 75 pounds, occasionally move or lift 75 to 100 pounds
