The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities
• Makes minor repairs to the interior/exterior of buildings and facilities• Maintains furniture and equipment• Performs lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing grass, cutting weeds, and removing trash• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on motorized vehicles and equipment• Cleans and replaces filters on air conditioners• Mops, waxes, and vacuums floors• Performs other assigned duties
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• One year of experience or training in building construction trades, general building maintenance, or repair/maintenance of mechanical equipment• Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, painting, heating and air conditioning• Ability to operate and perform routine maintenance on motorized vehicles and equipment• Ability to perform routine building and grounds maintenance work• Ability to use and maintain electrical tools and machinery
