Job summary
Maintenance/Housekeeping Assistant and DriverFull-time; Monday - Friday, first-shift (typically 8:00AM-4:30PM) with some evening and weekend hours as needed.This position is partly a maintenance and housekeeping position, with some driving duties required for individuals served by HMC.

Responsibilities
• Conduct building maintenance, repairs, and some cleaning tasks.• Pursue professional growth and development• Display exceptional documentation skills, knowledge of systems, routines and programming.• Transport individuals served safely and professionally.• Respond to urgent needs that may arise during transportation, to include personal cares of individuals served.• Conduct maintenance and repairs on vehicles owned by HMC.• Record necessary information to maintain up-to-date property and vehicle records.• Complete repairs and maintenance as assigned. Communicate progress to appropriate individuals.• Respond immediately to any observed safety or health hazards.• Aware of fire and safety regulations.• Understands property and project budgets.• Work in a cooperative, professional manner with contractors, plumbers, electricians, repair persons, vendors, etc.• Requires regular travel to various sites to oversee and/or complete tasks.• Maintain HIPPA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, both external and internal to HMC.• Follows all health and safety policy and procedure.• Completes other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have high school diploma or general education degree. Prior experience or training not required, but desirable.• Must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals, support teams, and co-workers.• Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills, able to problem solve and respond effectively to emergency situations.• Must have a basic knowledge of technology programs. IE: Microsoft Office products. Be able to use and/or be willing to learn and operate additional technology platforms.• Displays a positive attitude towards the job.• Must work with colleagues and have the ability to work independently to carry out job duties as assigned.• Must have a valid United States driver's license and pass as an acceptable driver through our insurance carrier.• Must pass a MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
