Machinist

Job Title: Light Industrial Machinist Location: Greenville SC Duration: 12 Months Work Schedule: Second shift. Job Summary: CNC Programmer and programming experience required. The ideal candidate will have experience with programming in Mastercam and experience with Haas machines too. Setting up/programming CNC machines and performing quality checks on parts. The successful candidate will be able to read blueprints and schematics understand technical drawings and have a strong understanding of the principles of machinings. Tasks range from setting up and operating plain or universal horizontal or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear spine and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances. May select mount and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling plan sequence of operations number of cuts required and method of setup; determine set and adjust speeds feeds and depth of cut. Interprets blueprints sketches and engineering specifications; uses a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations; and measures marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Requirement: CNC programming experience required master cam programmer. 6 years programming complex tight tolerance parts successfully with Mastercam 18 19 or 20 or a similar program. Proficient in the use of Mastercam or similar CAM programs to effectively create efficient true 5axis programs for machine tools.
