Luxfer Riverside is looking for motivated team-players to operate various machines used in the manufacture of high pressure gas cylinders. Previous experience in manufacturing preferred but not required.
$13.50- $16.75 (depending upon experience & shift) 1st shift: 5:30am- 2pm or 6:30am-3pm 2nd shift: 1:30pm- 10pm or 2:30pm-11pm 3rd shift: 9:30pm- 6am or 10:30pm-7am ***Flexible schedule required. Overtime available***

POSITION PURPOSE: As part of the Production Team, Machine Operators will be trained to safely operate various machines involved in the manufacture of high pressure gas cylinders used in Life Support, SCUBA and Alternative Fuel applications. Machine Operators within the liner department may utilize a hydraulic press or a CNC forming machine to make inner aluminum liners. Machine Operators within the Portables department, using the aluminum liner, with operate machines designed to wrap, cure, and test high pressure composite cylinders.
REQUIREMENTS: The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Operate and set-up machines involved in the manufacture of gas cylinders as assigned. Equipment includes, but is not limited to CNC machine, hydraulic press, wrapping machines, loading and unloading gel racks and cure ovens, pneumatic sanders, coating, and general inspection. By following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), produce high quality parts that meet customer specifications. Perform routine set-up and minor maintenance work as required. Accurately complete production paperwork. Participate in Luxfer culture of safety through maintaining a clean work environment and following Luxfer's 5S program. Achieve production goals and maintain a pace consistent with pre-determined standards. Education and/or Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred. Previous experience reading measuring tools including calipers, pie tape and ruler. Mathematical Skills: Ability to use shop mathematics, read blue prints, read and understand charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments (calculators, pie tape, weigh scales, ultrasonic gage, hardness tester, calipers, micrometer, tensiometer.)

Standing during entire shift ranging from 8-12 hours, excluding breaks/lunches. Squatting, bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work area has the usual manufacturing dust and debris. Various chemical compounds are used in the manufacturing process.
