Andersen is growing its Transaction services practice and looking for dynamic experienced professionals who want to become specialists in corporate and partnership M&A tax issues, with a focus in quantitative tax modeling and analysis. The Transaction services team advises clients around tax efficiency, benefits and risks of potential transitions, addresses complex issues related to corporate and partnership transactions, performs analysis to assess the federal and state tax consequences of transactions, and executes tax integration of acquired enterprises.
Responsibilities: Assist clients with post-transaction integration matters, including purchase price allocation and tax amortization calculations, IRC Section 382 studies, Earnings and Profits calculations, transaction cost analyses, and other Subchapter C and Subchapter K tax matters. Analysis of buyer and seller historical tax positions and attributes, the preparation and presentation of tax due diligence reports, modeling various structuring alternatives, and computing tax cost and benefits associated with proposed transactions. Conduct tax research, supervise and develop other professional staff, and effectively manage large projects with multiple work streams. Engage in networking and business development activities inside and outside of Andersen. Transaction services team members also assist the corporate tax group during periods of downtime. Additional operational responsibilities would be to assist on several domestic and international tax projects on a recurring basis, which could include any of the following areas:
Identify and implement enhancements to processes and reporting. Developing tax dashboards, models, and managing databases. Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the team and organizational goals. Compensation and Benefits Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Seattle, the expected salary range for this role is $102,000 to $172,600; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.
Bachelor's degree required; Masters of Tax and/or Juris Doctorate preferred; Accounting, Finance, Economics or related undergraduate degree preferred; Advanced credential required (i.e. CPA, enrolled agent with an advanced tax degree, CFA, and/or specialty professionals with equivalent licenses or credentials plus a relevant advanced degree); At least 4 years relevant work experience with a Big Four or national accounting firm; Knowledge of M&A practices and in the areas of Subchapter C transactional issues, consolidated federal tax returns, IRC Section 382, Earnings and Profits, Subsidiary Stock Basis and transaction costs would be an advantage but not required as we will teach and train; Advanced Excel financial modeling and analytical skills dealing with large dataset; Experience integrating tax technology solutions such as Alteryx, Power Query and Power BI; Experience with data and process enhancement tools such as Python. Excellent problem solving, analytical and research skills; Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
