Job Description: Our client is actively hiring an M&A Associate (5-7yrs) to join their team in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have M&A experience, general corporate and other business law matters (tax would be a plus). Candidates who have substantive experience in venture capital and emergency company transactions, general corporate governance and commercial matters are also plus. Successful candidates will possess outstanding academic credentials, good experience and tenure, a strong work ethic and superior writing and research skills.
What are the core responsibilities? Overseeing Mergers and Acquisitions from initial contact to finalization
Conduct Due Diligence: Reviewing financial statements, contracts, IP, regulatory compliance and other relevant information.
Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
Providing legal advise and counsel (could include identifying potential legal issues, evaluating risk and developing strategies to address any concerns )
Build and manage relationships with clients
What are the minimum requirements? Minimum of 4 years of Corporate M&A experience
High level of academic achievement
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Confident, mature presence and speaking ability
Admission to the CO is required
