Key Responsibilities: Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests May perform venipuncture Qualifications: Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, preferred Work Requirements: Able to distinguish appropriate colors, consistently reaching and/or working above and below shoulder level; lifting up to 50 pounds, walking or being on feet 90% and sitting 10% of time per day with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, standing; and expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
