About the Department: Our Medical Surgical Unit is here to assist you with 24 beds and all private rooms. We provide care to pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Our highly skilled caregivers have certifications including ACLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy to serve patients with various ailments. Some of the special services provided include chemotherapy administration, physical therapy, nutrition counseling and hospice care. We can connect our patients with advanced resources based on their needs, such as ostomy care, weekend infusion services, and more. Discharge and social services are available to help our patients get back to being happy and healthy.
About The Career: The position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focuses on providing direct patient care. The LPN will be responsible for rooming the patients daily, to include manual blood pressures, O2, weight, heart rate. Attention to detail is of the upmost importance for medication reconciliation. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining test results and with collaboration of the provider, generating orders or phone calls to the patient.
All About You :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Education: Graduate LPN nursing program, with current or pending Colorado nursing license.
Training and experience: Experience in clinic setting is preferred but will train. Knowledge of basic ECG strips helpful.
Computer skills and working with electronic medical records
BCLS required on hire.
