Responsibilities
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating• Taking and monitoring vital signs• Administering medications as prescribed by a physician• Caring for wounds and performing other sterile procedures• Providing emotional support and comfort to residents• Maintain accurate and complete nursing records• Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare providers• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans• Report any changes in a resident's condition to the appropriate healthcare provider• Follow infection control procedures and other safety protocols
Requirements
• LPN certification• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation• Ability to handle stressful situations• Valid CPR certification• Ability to lift and move patients as needed• Flexibility in work schedule
