We are on the lookout for a dedicated, adaptable, and engaging Lower School teacher to become an integral part of our PK-8 school community. We have potential opportunities in both early elementary and upper elementary roles. At The Sage School you will play a pivotal role in fostering creativity and self-expression among students. Lower School teachers are responsible for teaching math, social studies, language arts, reading, writing, and social emotional education, which is embedded in all the disciplines. Lower School teachers work in collaboration with specialists who teach Spanish, computer science, library and research skills, visual and performing arts, music, and PE. 
The Sage School is a Pre-K through Grade 8 school enrolling 160 students in Foxboro, MA. Sage, a school for gifted and talented students, is committed to providing advanced academics to students from the greater Boston and Providence areas and beyond. Responsibilities will include Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement a dynamic and student-centered curriculum that aligns with the school's educational philosophy and standards. Create lesson plans that support the complex needs of gifted learners, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Implement a variety of instructional techniques and materials to engage students in the learning process. Classroom Management: Employ a restorative approach to establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages active participation, collaboration, and mutual respect among students. Effectively manage classroom behavior and create a safe and conducive learning environment. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance, strengths, and areas for improvement. Parental Communication: Establish open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's academic progress, activities, and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with parents to support the educational and social development of students. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and pedagogy. Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and strategies for continuous improvement. Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, events, and school programs that enhance the overall school community. Minimum Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in elementary education or related field (Master's degree preferred) Knowledge of Orton-Gillingham or other multisensory literacy methodologies is a plus Prior experience teaching performing arts to students across a variety of ages Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and hands-on, experiential teaching methods Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills A collaborative mindset and a commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing A positive attitude, a flexible approach, and a sense of humor Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and three letters of reference to: Keir Chapman Communications Associate The Sage School 171 Mechanic Street Foxboro, MA 02035 About The Sage School
