Looking For Counselor

Job Title: Counselor - Chemical Dependency (Allied) Location: Groton, CT Duration: 12+ months Description / Comment The work to be performed under this contract will be at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England (NMRTCNE), Groton, CT This is a year-long contract. Hours of Performance: ******** . In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services over 80 hours per two (2) week period. Scheduling: Specific days, hours, and shift length will be scheduled by the designated government representative. The specific schedule for each two (2) week period will be provided one (1) month in advance by the government supervisor or designee.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree: Certificate. Education: Graduate from a behavioral science program with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment.
Certification: Maintain a national certification credential by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors or National Board of Certification Counselors or International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. Experience: One year of experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor after graduation. Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Addictions Counselor. Please review the performance work statement (PWS) for the full description.
