Overview:
We are recruiting a Logistics Program Manager to support an impact office within the United States Department of Health and Human Services. As a vital part of our team, you will contribute to the nation's public health preparedness and emergency response efforts. From coordinating response assets to ensuring timely deployment of resources, you'll play a crucial role in saving lives and making a positive impact.
Responsibilities:
Assist in reviewing requests for purchases of accountable assets to identify availability of requested resources.
Support acquisition/purchasing activities, ensuring accountability of purchased assets.
Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and tracking of response assets and emergency communications.
Assist in evaluating and resolving issues related to lost, damaged, or misused property.
Conduct inventories and manage property accountability.
Drive logistics vehicles to move inventory and support disaster operations.
Stay updated on logistics policies and procedures affecting our practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve workflow and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics Management, or Systems Engineering.
2-4 years of experience in logistics.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
