Full job description The Logistics Operations Coordinator will primarily support the day-to-day transactions in Copeland's Transportation Management System (Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)). Key activities of this position include technical support, data review, analysis of shipment status entered in the system, as well as load planning. This individual will work closely with local operations, shippers (supplier and customers), as well as carriers to resolve logistics issues. Communication and escalation of these issues to local operations and program leaders in timely manner is required. Root cause analysis and issuance of corrective actions is necessary to continuously improve the logistics process. He/she must develop and understanding of Copeland Transportation Management programs, OTM systems and processes, as well as Copeland's freight payment operations. He/she must possess, sense of urgency, attention to detail, strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
The position will also support other functional areas within the OTM such as Exception Management, and Audit Payment Operations as required.
AS A LOGISTICS OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, YOU WILL: Monitor status of orders and shipments entered the TMS system / OTM Diagnose and resolve order entry and shipment execution issues to ensure efficient transaction Reach out to stakeholders in the supply chain organization to resolve issues as needed Escalate issues internally and externally when needed to resolve issues Execute Copeland's transportation strategy Plan shipments to support Copeland's Cross Dock Network Manage spot bids as required. Support manual order entry Compliance with service level expectations for issue resolution Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role Required Education, Experience, & Skills: BS Degree in Business or related field with at least 1-year professional experience Experience or familiarity with OTM or other Transportation Management Systems Experience managing US Domestic, Mexico Domestics, US/MX Cross Border Understands basic concepts of supply chain Comfortable interacting with staff across globally diverse businesses and multiple functional areas Strong computer and analytical skills. Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English – both verbal and written) Strong problem-solving skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Supply chain; logistics; or transportation industry experience Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Additional experience with international shipments (Ocean, Air) including forwarding and customs clearance Our Commitment to Our People Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
