Nikkiso Cryo Inc is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.
This position is located at our facility in North Las Vegas, NV.
Position Summary: Working within the Logistics department and reporting to the Logistics / Export Compliance Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, packaging, marking, and loading of shipments, of Nikkiso products and maintaining records of inbound and outbound shipments. They will also assist with the warehouse functions as needed.
Essential Functions: Preparing and maintaining shipment paperworkMaintain logs and records of shipmentsCoordinate shipments with customer and, or freight forwarder for pick up / deliveryTroubleshooting shipping issues (Loading plans, multiple truckloads, Weight limitations, driver issues, etc.)The adequate Packing and Marking of products, to prevent loss or damage, which is to be consistent with the transportation methodsChecking orders for accuracy. Staging crates/orders in preparation for pick upsTracking and updating customers the status of shipmentsCrate Markings per customer requirements (ink stenciling, spray paint, etc.)Interacts with truck drivers and carriers, Loading trucks & trailersAssisting in warehouse functionsMaking local deliveriesCycle countsOther duties as assignedKnowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise: Ability to work independently and handle multiple projectsComputer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP). Working knowledge of online shipping services – FedEx.com, DHL.com, & UPS.com. Also, Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.Outstanding organizational and coordination abilitiesFamiliarity with industry standards, regulations, best practices, and requirementsWorking knowledge of Domestic and International shipping requirements.At least 2 years Logistics experience in a manufacturing environmentExcellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsForklift certifiedValid Driver's LicenseWork Environment and Physical Demands Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, type, and writeReach with hands and arms, bend, stand on a stool or climb, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controlsUse standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers, copiers, etc.Lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinetsWork in both office and shop environments at company sitesLift 50 poundsConditions may vary at each location, yet are essentially the same as listedEnvironmental Safety Requirements Complete safety training requirementsParticipate in other training as directed by the company or managerWear Nikkiso approved PPE as neededEnsure all safety requirements and PPE requirements are enforced as neededFailure to comply with safety requirements may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
