The ROCKY MOUNTAIN LAW ENFORCEMENT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION has an opening for a Consumer Loan Processor . This person must have excellent in-person and phone customer service skills. Training will be provided on Credit Union products and services. The position is in the office at the Credit Union located at 700 W. 39th Avenue, Denver, CO 80216.
This position offers room to grow and advance. The Credit Union's policy is to promote from within. The salary range is $22 - $28 per hour and is commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the Credit Union offers a comprehensive health benefits package, a generous PTO plan, paid holidays, and eligibility for participation in the 401K plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interview and assist applicants applying for consumer loans, process and prepare loan documents.  Completes applications, and calculations of debt ratios, obtain verification of income, collateral values (loan to value), and credit reviews.  Submits for review and loan approval. Disburse loan proceeds as authorized and directed by the approving authority. Provide quality documentation and complete loan files. Accurately input and maintain member loan/account information on a computer system. Identify Cross-selling opportunities and cross-sell to members to increase loan portfolio. Assure that appropriate records are filed; maintained and required reports are processed. Has a thorough understanding of AML/BSA regulations to ensure self-compliance in carrying out related policies and procedures and filling out proper reports in a timely and accurate method. Assist with branch duties when needed.  Performance Standards: Adhere to all Credit Union Policies and Procedures including compliance with directives and expectations in the RMLEFCU Employee Handbook. Provide courteous, friendly, timely, and professional service to members and co-workers.  Maintain a professional work environment and personal appearance. Completes all assigned tasks with an acceptable level of accuracy. Support all internal and external educational opportunities. Demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills. Support all corporate goals and objectives. Qualification Requirements: A significant level of Trust, Diplomacy, Privacy, and Confidentiality is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Provide excellent member service skills. Education and/or Experience: One or more years of recent and related work experience. Working knowledge of Credit Union/Bank Products. Knowledge of lending regulations. Equivalent to a high school education or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. Demonstrate knowledge of loan documentation, credit granting criteria, proper collecting guidelines, interest rates, and how computed. Products and services at RMLEFCU have kept pace with and often exceeded those offered in the financial service marketplace.
The Credit Union hours are M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
