Seeking an attorney with 3 -5 years of legal experience to represent clients' interests in all stages of litigation and contribute to the progression of the firm while working alongside an expert legal team.
Requirements
* Licensed and in good standing in Alabama.
* Knowledge of litigation procedures in Alabama.
* Detail oriented, motivated and able to support legal team in complex litigation cases and trial.
* Courtroom experience.
* Experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trial
* J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
* Effective oral and written interaction.
* Strong work ethic.
* Produce efficient, high-quality work product.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Plaintiff employment experience preferred; not required.
Responsibilities
* Assist in administration of attorney-client relationship
* Work closely with clients and Senior Counsel in all phases of litigation process;
* Arguing motions and presenting cases independently at hearings;
* Preparation for, taking and defending depositions
* Drafting and filing pleadings with appropriate bodies
* Conducting thorough discovery and drafting discovery requests and responses;
* Conducting legal research
* Adhering to confidentiality requirements and exercising discretion
* Provide other support to Senior Counsel and other legal staff as needed.
