Experience developing methods for deploying development environments that mirror production environments for risk mitigation in test and evaluation of software and hardware solutions
Develop and provide documentation and training to improve utilization of various Linux based technical solutions
Experience troubleshooting complex system hardware and software issues
Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, LDAP, ICMP, ssh and SNMP
Solid knowledge of Networking, VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and addressing schemes
Skilled in system administration tasks such as file system, network, and account troubleshooting
Knowledge of repository management practices, patch administration, and vulnerability remediation
Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments
Experience with STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides)
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
Ability to interact effectively with project teams, managers, and end users
Creative and innovative thinking with the ability to multi-task
Commitment to ongoing professional development
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree
Required Experience : 3+ years of related experience as a Linux or Kubernetes Administrator
Required Technical Skills : DoD 8140 compliance required
Security Clearance Level : Active Top Secret with a T5 or T5R completed within the last 5 years
Required Skills and Abilities: Highly motivated, self-starter with great communications skills; effective problem solver; able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
Preferred Skills: Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a Kubernetes environment. Basic knowledge of Elasticsearch or any distributed full-text search engine. Basic PostgreSQL database administration . Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Ansible for configuration management and application deployment. Monitoring and alerting packages (e.g., Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus. Experience with at least one scripting languages such as Bash
