Peraton's National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced Peoplesoft Functional Lead to support its SITE III BES contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of applications that focus on the business functions (Acquisition, Training, Security, Human Resources) which facilitate critical administrative services across the Defense Intelligence Agency's entire global workforce. The SITE III BES contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the supported agency directorates and branches. Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the enterprise business systems environment, systems integration and back-end business process workflows.
The successful candidate will:
Be responsible for ensuring systems are fully operating at high availability, rapidly troubleshooting and resolving systems issues, and handling tickets and calls from the customer. Perform daily system monitoring and monthly Patching. Troubleshoot network and application performance issues and recommend appropriate action. When tasked, will rapidly troubleshoot issues, resolving systems issues via a ticketing tracking system. If systems issues and circumstances warrant it, the candidate must also be willing to report to customer location during off-hours. Be responsible for deploying software patches on a monthly basis at the customer location during off-hours . Understand system hardening and security through the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Patching. Work closely with government Customers, contractor Project Lead, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Application Vendor,
and Application End Users.
Be responsible for creating or revising existing documentation and be able to communicate complex system configurations simply and clearly in documentation. Create/revise the documentation as follows: daily standard operating procedures (SOP), Security Test Procedures (STP) based off a Security Controls, Traceability Matrix (SCTM), System Install Procedures (SIP), System Administration Guide (SAG), System User Manual (SUM), and/or Interface Control Document (ICD). Required Qualifications: TS/SCI clearance with poly Must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study and 8 or more years of relevant experience. 4 years additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum 8 years of experience with systems administration Strong Linux administration w/scripting experience required Experience installing and configuring software applications Experience with VMWare Familiarity with Tomcat 8.5 or higher Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Lvl 2) Ability to work in a team environment Ability to anticipate problems & take decisive action Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and patching Desired Qualifications: Exhibit leadership skills Familiar with Microsoft Windows Operating System Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Cloud environment Familiar with JAVA Open JDK/JRE 11+ Experience maintaining applications with SQL and or nonSQL database environments Experience writing scripts to monitor system services, resources, data mine logs, etc. Experience with automation / deployment packages (e.g., Ansible) Experience writing/editing Linux Shell scripts Experience writing queries to generate system data reports, modify data as necessary, etc. Experience maintaining accredited (ATO) systems Experience with test driven development Peraton Overview Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
