Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for Software Tester in Charleston, SC. The Software Tester with have a strong Windows Systems Administrator background. This position is part of a diverse technical team supporting major Naval Messaging programs (e.g., C2OIX, NAVMACS II) of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic. Successful candidates will work closely with system engineers/developers to design and execute targeted and end-to-end tests validating system functionality. We are seeking motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented IT professionals to join our growing team and collaborate on solving technical challenges.
Pay Scale: $53,571 - $83,646 depending on experience
You Will: Perform software product testing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based networksWork with development team to reproduce/troubleshoot issues encountered during testingConfigure and maintain test environmentAssist Subject Matter Experts and Technical Writers with documentation efforts (test cases, test reports, software load plans)Track all changes and update documents as required and ensure updated documents are staffed to lead engineer for approvalTroubleshoot and document software anomalies and deficienciesAssist in management of project test beds and network devices, including configuration of Linux and Windows-based test support systems and layer 2 & 3 switches and routersYou Have: U.S. CitizenshipPossession of or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security ClearanceThe ability to work onsite daily.Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 Server Operating SystemsDemonstrated knowledge of hardware specifications found in desktops, laptops, tablets and serversStrong documentation and oral communication skillsThe ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesSelf-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityA passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry2+ years of experience with software testing and test processesA CompTIA Security+ CE or ability to receive within 3 months8+ years' experience working with a wide range of IT productsWe would be impressed if you have experience with: Experience with Navy IT-21 networks using COMPOSE and CANESExperience with Red Hat 7, 8 and 9Knowledge of virtualization technologies using oVirt, ESX VMWare and Microsoft Windows Hyper-V:Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and aboveESX VMWare 3.5 and aboveExperience with Microsoft Windows Active DirectoryExperience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and aboveExperience with Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 10, and 11Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Update ServicesKnowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
