We currently have an opening for a Linux Engineer to join our software engineering team developing next-generation Navy tactical communication solutions in the Charleston, SC area. We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Linux Engineer to assist our Navy customer in defining, developing, maintaining, supporting, tuning, and troubleshooting software and hardware infrastructure on Linux servers. These key positions are part of a dynamic team fulfilling technical needs of our military. We are seeking motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented computer professionals to join our growing company. You Will: Develop solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) serversWork with container technologies (Docker/Podman)Instantiate and administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM)Automate tasks using shell scripting (Bash)Develop applications using PythonResearch and resolve software bugsMaintain source code in software repositories (Git)Perform testbed demos and proofs of concept to leadershipAssist subject matter experts with software engineering change request (ECR) requirements and software documentationYou Have: US CitizenshipThe ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security ClearanceThe ability to maintain a DoD IAT II certificationExperience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions Experience with creating Linux Bash scripts Experience with programming in PythonFamiliarity with layer 2 & 3 switch and router technologiesA passion for learning about, and working in the IT industryStrong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate will all levels of users, engineers, managers and organizationsThe ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environmentThe ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesA self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityWe Would Be Impressed If You Have: Experience with Navy shore-based systemsA Linux OS certificationEducation/Experience: BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experienceCompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent What is Atlas, you ask?
