Responsibilities
• Ensure proper service and quality control in the kitchen.• Train line cooks and maintain proper sanitation levels.• Check recipe cards and ensure food is presented efficiently and of high quality.• Monitor line set up and equipment maintenance for maximum efficiency.• Prepare food following recipe cards and portion standards.• Start food items ahead of time and manage perishables properly.• Check pars, assist in buffet stocking, and manage food cost problems.• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems.• Return unused food items to designated storage areas.• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and cover/date perishables.
Requirements
• High school education or equivalent.• 1-2 years of experience in a related position.• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen procedures.• Ability to perform non-repetitive analytical work.• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy items.• Mobility and ability to travel throughout the day.• Continuous standing and ability to hear and communicate.• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
