Lifeguard Effective Date: May 29, 2023
GENERAL PURPOSE The Lifeguard is responsible for providing safety and supervision to all patrons and guests that use the Aquatics facilities. The position will work directly with the Aquatics Director. 

 
Education, Experience & Requirements: Lifeguard Certification CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Successful completion of background check Ability to live up to 50 lbs Job Tasks: Always monitor and supervise swimmers to ensure their safety. Respond to all incidents requiring first aid and follow emergency action procedures. Actively enforce all pool rules. Vacuum pool bottom; empty automatic skimmers; skim bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use. Maintain cleanliness and all amenities in pool locker rooms including changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers. Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training. Report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor. Perform administrative record keeping including sign-in/out sheets, accident/incident, and opening and closing duty reports. Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all Members and guests. Preform other duties as assigned.
