Job Description and Duties Under the general supervision of the Supervising Program Technician II, the Program Technician II (PT II), exercises a high degree of initiative and makes independent interpretations of difficult licensing laws, regulations, and policies.

Working Conditions This is a 12 month limited term position that may be extended to 24 months and may become permanent.
NOTE: Candidates must have applied for/taken the examination for the appropriate classification, in order to be considered for this vacancy or have the ability to lateral transfer into the position.
Special Requirements The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired. To perform the duties of this position, the PT II must have fingerprint clearance.  This is a CORI sensitive position.
Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.
