Responsibilities
• Observe residents for changes in condition• Report changes to appropriate healthcare professionals• Direct nursing assistants in accordance with regulations• Plan shift's services, programs, and activities• Interpret department policies and procedures• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents• Complete accident/incident reports• Chart nurses' notes accurately• Order medications and recommend supplies• Review medication administrative records• Review resident care plans• Ensure nursing service personnel know residents' rights• Review and resolve resident complaints and grievances
Requirements
• RN or LPN license in Illinois• Ability to make independent decisions• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices• Leadership ability and willingness to supervise• Positive professional manner• Ability to maintain confidentiality• Ability to work with the senior population
