Your Responsibilities as the Center Leader: Organize the facility's functions through appropriate departmentalization and delegation. Implement control and effective utilization of physical and financial resources. Develop and implement policies/procedures to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality services. Review and act upon reports from authorized inspecting agencies. Employ responsible accounting, including budget and internal controls. Create an effective public relations program. Pursue ongoing education in healthcare, administrative, and management areas. Recruit, select, and retain department managers, fostering their growth and development. Motivate and empower employees to perform at their highest level. Create a work environment that encourages safety, longevity, growth, and personal satisfaction for all staff. Establish a Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure appropriate follow-up. Conduct performance appraisals for all department managers and ensure goal development and review. Develop mission statements, philosophies, goals, and objectives for the facility. Foster effective communication among supervisors, residents, families, and healthcare professionals. May be required to drive for company business with either a company vehicle or personal vehicle. 1. Graduation from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, with a license to practice Health Care Administration or as a Nursing Home Administrator.
2. Experience in long term care preferred.
3. Good communication skills, numerical ability and clerical ability are necessary.
4. Must have good organizational, planning and controlling skills and the ability to relate to people; must be flexible.
