Responsibilities
• Confer with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress and pain• Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body• Provide guidance and information about postural improvement and exercises• Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality, and muscle strength• Develop and propose client treatment plans• Use complementary aids for clients' recovery and well-being• Consult with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans• Obtain basic medical history and suggest appropriate massage techniques for clients• Maintain treatment records
Requirements
• High School Diploma• Oregon Massage Therapist License• Massage Therapy Certificate• 2 years experience practicing massage therapy• Minimum 500 hours of education• Knowledge of two massage modalities• Working knowledge of anatomy and basic physiology• Strong sales skills• First Aid Certification
