Join our team and help bring do-good, feel-good eating to the world.The RoleSharebite's Legal Intern will have a rare opportunity to serve as the second-chair legal resource within a fast-growing, fully remote, mission-driven company with a multi-faceted legal function. Working alongside and with the support of Sharebite's Head of Legal, the Legal Intern will assist with leveraging Sharebite's strong mission-driven foundation to build out our formalized Environmental, Social, & Corporate Governance (ESG) program while also supporting commercial deal flow and other work across Sharebite's various teams as needed to help drive the business forward. What You'll Do Take a primary seat in Sharebite's partnership with an outside carbon accounting firm and software platform as we formalize our ESG sustainability goals, accomplishments, and reporting frameworks.Engage in drafting, review, and implementation of various sustainability policies for Sharebite, as well as commercial agreements and contracts more generally. Serve as a key legal ops resource, building upon the foundation we've created to further streamline, automate, and standardize our contracting procedures and record keeping.Work cross-functionally to support the varied legal needs of Sharebite's Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Product/Tech, Operations, and other teams as needed. Gain valuable experience and knowledge in transactional lawyering within a fast-paced, mission-driven startup on track to change the world.Required Skills & ExperienceCurrent 1st or 2nd year law student at a fully-accredited law schoolResourceful, self-driven, curious, and collaborativeExcellent organizational and communication skillsExcellent writing, research, and analytical skillsDetail-oriented mindset, capable of systems-level thinkingEquipped with reliable internet access, including video conferencing capabilities Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite programsMission-driven; inclined to leverage business as a tool for social goodPreferred Skills & ExperienceInterest in ESG law or experience with sustainability reporting frameworks, particularly as it relates to technology companies Demonstrated interest in transactional law, through relevant coursework and/or work experienceExperience with Salesforce, Ironclad, or other CRM or contract management software productsExperience within or exposure to sales cycles, fintech, SaaS, or tech startups more generallyPrior work experience in a fast-paced and/or remote work environmentNice to have: experience or demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for businessThis role will require the candidate to work ~35 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, beginning in mid-May and ending in mid-August (exact start and end dates are flexible).At Sharebite, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and location.The base compensation range for this role is $20 - $29 per hour, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies.
