LEASING CONSULTANT – Hancock Terrace Apartments, Santa Maria, CA The Towbes Group, Inc., a premier property management company for over 65 years, seeks a full-time, Leasing Consultant to support the team at Hancock Terrace Apartments, our 272-unit multi-family community located along the beautiful central coast in Santa Maria, California.
Hancock Terrace Apartments offers luxurious modern layouts, state-of-the art fitness center, resort style pool/spa-hot tubs, all within a great location close to shops and restaurants, a short drive to coastal beaches, and pets are welcome! We need you to join the Hancock Terrace Team to maintain quality services provided to our residents and help potential residents search for the perfect home.
This position requires an individual who is sales and service driven, outgoing and assertive, and who exhibits professional communication and organizational skills. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, energetic, polished, and engaging team player who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
As the initial contact between the public and the company, the Leasing Consultant becomes "the face" of the community, establishing and maintaining good relations with current and prospective renters. If you enjoy a vibrant and exciting work environment - we want to meet you!
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Professionally presenting the community while demonstrating amenities and featuresAdministrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining files and recordsAssisting with the leasing process, including showing available units to prospective residents, processing rental applications, and preparing lease agreementsInspecting market-ready units to ensure cleanlinessAssist in planning, preparation, and implementing community activities and events.Participate in after hours emergency on-call rotationAccounts receivables/payables Keeping track of lease expirations and renewal noticesShop competition in the preparation of advertising needs, as needed POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to tour the community with clients, including walking the community and climbing stairsMinimum of two (2) years in a hospitality, sales, customer service and/or marketing environmentDetail oriented and organized; ability to interact effectively with renters, residents, peers, and managementComputer literate in Microsoft Office SuiteYardi Voyager or other property management software experience is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to comprehend, apply, and comply with all state and fair housing laws, company policies, and business proceduresAvailable to work weekends required The initial training period work schedule would be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thereafter, the Leasing Consultant regular work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., however, it is subject to change based on staffing needs or community events at Hancock Terrace.
