1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Job Description: Perform welding tasks in various positions using safety equipment and adhering to safe work practices. Align, secure, and examine parts prior to assembly, ensuring conformance with specifications. Operate hand and power tools common to welding, utilizing shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Weld various materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron. Use torches and regulators, ignite torches, and strike arcs to initiate welding processes. Determine appropriate equipment, welding methods, and settings based on metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques. Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent material distortion. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan layout and welding operations. Mark materials with proper identifiers and maintain a clean work area. Key Responsibilities: Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Use hand and power tools, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Weld various materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron. Analyze drawings and blueprints to plan welding operations. Set up and maintain equipment, ensuring production consistency and quality welds. Read drawings and measure with gauges and calipers as instructed. Collaborate with other TIG Welders when necessary. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Must Have: Thorough understanding of TIG Welding fundamentals and operation. Ability to produce quality welds on a variety of materials. Familiarity with equipment setup and maintenance. Proficient in reading drawings and using measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent training/education. At least 2 years of experience specifically in welding Aluminum Sheet Metal and possess significant knowledge of TIG Welding principles and practices. Minimum of 1 year in a Lead Welder or Supervisor role. Effective oral and written communication skills are also essential.
