Essential job duties:
· Perform detailed analysis on depository accounts that appear to have activity that would support suspicions of deposit fraud, counterfeit check activity, wire fraud, online banking and provide detailed documentary evidence to support findings. · Reviewing and decisioning alerts related to suspicious activity or customer transaction and behavior patterns along with identifying potential onboarding and retention risk. · Perform in depth research by utilizing internal banking systems, as well as external open source systems to review alerted activity. · Autonomously complete all reports and research tasks assigned to ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting and the mitigation of operational risk. · Maintain communication with internal and external clients. · Adhering to internal procedures. · Specialist is expected to work independently and engage senior specialists and/or management when required. · Typically covers a broad range of responsibilities and other specialized tasks when required. Required and/or Preferred Qualifications:
· Fraud Detection, Fraud Analysis or related experience. · High School Diploma or GED equivalent. College Degree preferred. · Two - three years of investigative, relevant banking, and/or customer contact experience · Strong oral and written communication skills. · Strong analytical ability to make decisions effectively and independently. · High degree of organizational skills. · Established proficiency managing multiple diverse tasks. · Demonstrated ability to complete job duties within established service level agreements and regulatory constraints. · Proficiency using Microsoft Office / Windows. · Demonstrated ability to work with others in a professional team environment. · Adaptable to new ideas in a changing environment. · Ability to complete work by following procedures Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
