Lead Ruby On Rails Developer

We are a dynamic full-service marketing agency, catering to prominent clients within the automotive industry. Currently, we are seeking a Lead Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team on a remote 12-month contract-for-hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor fellow Developers in project execution and technical proficiency.
Code Development and Maintenance: Design, construct, and sustain efficient, reusable, and dependable Ruby on Rails code.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews prior to deployment in our AWS cloud environment.
Cloud Deployment Management: Establish and adhere to best practices and standards for software deployment within AWS, ensuring seamless operation.
Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to grasp project requirements, aid in estimating project timelines, and contribute to project planning.
Problem Solving: Identify bottlenecks and areas for enhancement, crafting effective solutions to address these challenges.
Application Development: Contribute to the creation of high-performing, responsive, and engaging web applications utilizing Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Technology Maintenance: Ensure the ongoing relevance and functionality of applications and technologies.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-stack web development experience with Ruby on Rails.
Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a Development Team Lead role.
API Development: Proficiency in writing and supporting RESTful APIs.
Database Expertise: Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
AWS Proficiency: Familiarity with working within an AWS environment, including deploying code, and utilizing DevOps toolsets.
Integration Skills: Ability to build integrations with CRM systems and APIs.
Communication and Leadership: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, essential for effective team collaboration.
Adaptability: Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
