Responsibilities
• Manage and ensure high quality of tax return preparation at tax site• Provide on-site tax expertise and preparation to program customers• Review and correct errors in tax returns completed by volunteer tax preparers• Provide tax knowledge and guidance to volunteer tax preparers and staff• Help manage workflow of the tax site• Ensure security of confidential information• Collect and report statistics and surveys related to taxpayer information• Facilitate sign-in and intake process for customers• Support Site Coordinator with operational needs• Assist with other assigned duties
Requirements
• 3 years of experience as an IRS Certified Tax Preparer or associate degree in accounting with 5 years of experience• Must pass the IRS volunteer tax preparer certification exam at the advanced level• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized• Available to work evenings and weekends• Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
