As the Lead Product Scientist at Kimberly-Clark you will work as a member of a Research & Engineering (R&E) team to develop, optimize, and implement changes in the product, process, material or technology concepts. You will lead cost saving and supply chain optimization efforts to maintain the product quality and consumer experience at the lowest possible cost. The Lead Product Scientist will report to the R&E Senior Manager of Huggies Diaper Core Product and Projects within Personal Care Research and Engineering and receive work direction from the Manager and Technical Leader. You will also give work direction, coaching, and mentoring to 1-2 indirect team members.
In this role, you will:
Lead cost saving and supply chain efficiency improvement efforts to continuously optimize the delivery of the diaper specification while ensuring high quality consumer experiences and protecting in market communication. 
Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems, or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.
Lead development of product key milestones, budget, timeline, and resource forecast for assigned project(s).
Ensure development and execution of product specification and quality plans are appropriate for the phase of projects and confirm the accuracy of specification changes before implementation.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and at least 3 years of experience in product development, technology development, executing consumer, and/or technical / scientific studies
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated strengths in: scientific experimentation methods, analysis and planning/organizing, reading and comprehension of technical literature (and summarizing)
15 – 30% travel is required
Preferred (not essential, but desired) : Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
5 or more years of relevant experience
Significant work experience in a Research & Engineering organization
Experience in executing both consumer studies and product performance evaluation
Experiences and skills in influencing peers and leaders
Experience in the development and commercialization stages of product or technology development
Experience in various market research methodologies and test methods
Understanding of Baby and Child Care products, brands, business and technologies
