Lead Data Engineer

Lead Data Engineer (SLC, UT) Analyze and manage large multi-state food service company's data engineering. Lead design & implementation of scalable & fault-tolerant data app on Big-Data & AWS Serverless. Use Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools and iPaaS to process and combine data from multiple OLTP sources into central repository data warehouse, SQL and No-SQL dbs. Evaluate complex business and system processes, enterprise standards & procedures. Enforce data management standards. Work with multiple teams to ensure appropriate data solutions to identify and define necessary system and process enhancements. Provide technical leadership for data engineering Agile teams to deliver against Sprint and program increment objectives. Develop innovative frameworks to avoid redundancy through automation. Lead design and build of data solutions and apps to enable reporting, analytics, data science, and data management using Python and Looker. Provide guidance to build complex technical capabilities. Research, identify, and implement process improvements for complex technology gaps. Work with Product Owners, Managers, Scrum Masters and Team Members in a Scaled Agile development framework. Stay abreast of latest data engineering trends.
Requires: Master's Degree in Information Systems/Equivalent, plus at least 2 years of data warehouse analysis experience, and proficiency with Big Data, ETL, OLTP, NoSQL, iPaaS, Python, Looker, SQL, and AWS.
Full time: $137,259 per year, plus standard employee benefits.
